New Technology at the LA Temple Visitor's Center

The LA Temple Visitor's Center has been getting some new technology and of course Elder Waldvogel needed to test it. Anyone can digitally color a picture of the LA Temple and email it home. What a wonderful teaching tool.

Waldo the Wildcat

Waldo the Wildcat decided to try and find Elder Waldvogel's area. He came close.

News from the Mission Home

Dear Parents:
We are excited to welcome our new missionaries to Los Angeles. They are all excited to be here and we know that they will be successful if they work hard. We will be doing some specialized training in another week which will help them be more skilled teachers. This is a new program developed by the missionary department and we are expecting great things.
You should have recently received in the mail a picture of your missionary wth their new companion. I have attached a group picture of our new missionaries as well as an introduction to President Baker and myself if you are interested. Names of our new missionaries left to right: Hanselman, Villanueva, Jahng, Goll, Spencer, Molinaro, Waldvogel, Searle, Ferrin, Loli, and Fitzgerald -- Sister Baker California Los Angeles Mission 3 Nephi 5:13 Behold I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life.

I’ve included some pics of us at the MTC and some of Elder Bigler and me and Elder Ellett on the Left

Letter From Malibu

So what are your feelings now that you have been in the field for a few weeks? Is it anything like you thought? How does it feel to serve others?
The field feels fine it’s like normal life now. We do quite a bit of service and are going to do some tonight but I am kind of tired.

How is the teaching pool coming along?

The teaching pool is slow very slow but we have 2 investigators that have a date for a baptism. Me and elder Bigler are doing great we get along good. I went on splits with one of the zone leaders on Thursday and he is in an only Spanish area so that was interesting cuz I did not know what they were saying very well but it was good.

Are you able drive yet? How many car areas are there in your mission?
I have not been able to drive yet but I should be eventually. I think I need a gps. I don’t know how many car areas we have but I think it’s a lot.

Do you get a lot of dinner appointments or do you have to cook a lot.

We do have a lot of dinner appointments every day.

with love
Elder Waldvogel
